Gamification: Gamify
ITEC 5350 Multimedia Development
Adding gamification to a curriculum can be a rewarding experience as long
as the game is aligned with the goal of the course and student learning objectives.
I created a scavenger hunt for a Microcontroller Basics course I was designing.
I wanted to get my students out of their seats and engaged by connecting what they were learning in class with what is out there in their everyday lives.

Microcontrollers are digital devices that can only operate one program at a time. They are found in a majority of the tools we use daily. Think of anything automated. Does it only perform one function? Then it probably has a microcontroller in it. Microcontrollers are in TV remotes, key fobs, automated sprinkler systems, your fire alarm, automated toilets, and many more household appliances.
The scavenger hunt was created with the free version of GooseChase. You will need to download the app. Then join with code: 3K88EW and use password: Arduino
